AC Shadows Unveils Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre collaboration that challenges usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Revealed
According to the formal statement, "A mysterious meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of banned practices and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret sect.
The adventure concentrates on "peculiar trials and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Material
Players who finish the quest will obtain an unique katana together with several objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-themed attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Unique arms
- Survey Corps mount
Latest Free Story Content
This release also introduces the game's third no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." This playful quest teams Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange signature skills: Naoe reveals a theatrical interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "A Puzzlement" also contains a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately explain some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
