The detonation took place on the evening of Friday at the Nowgam security post, where explosive materials seized from Faridabad in the northern state of Haryana state were being stored temporarily.
Regional police chief stated that the detonation substances were pending technical investigation when a "deeply regrettable" accident during management resulted in their blast at approximately 11:20 PM local.
