An Australian man that leaped across a fence and touched Hollywood star Ariana Grande has been expelled and banned from Singapore.

The man, twenty-six, was handed a penalty to more than a week in jail for disrupting public order and has now been "prohibited from returning to Singapore," the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority told Singaporean press.

The man shoved through camera crews and approached aggressively the actress and singer, who was attending the Asian premier for Wicked: For Good on 13 November. Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo intervened to remove him from Grande.

The individual has a record of causing disturbances at events and high-profile gatherings, including leaping onto the platform at the pop star's Australian show in this summer.

The incident provoked strong reactions in Singapore, with several individuals accusing him of re-traumatising Grande.

The celebrity has mentioned suffering from PTSD after a explosive incident at her concert in the English city in May 2017 killed 22 people and affected hundreds.

During Wen's trial, the authorities learned he had attempted to intrude on the red carpet event twice, according to Singaporean media.

Wen later posted videos appreciating the celebrity for allowing his presence and said he was "at liberty."

Authorities arrested him the following day and accused him with causing a disturbance, to which he confessed.

The District Judge the judicial official was cited by a news outlet as remarking that Wen was "attention seeking", commenting that he was mistaken to think he would not face any penalties.

The actress has not addressed the case.

The co-star spoke about the incident to NBC, remarking that she "just wanted to make sure my colleague was safe."

"I'm sure he had no intention to us injury, but you can't predict with those things, and I wanted to ensure that she was OK. That was my initial reaction," she stated.
