Renowned Actor The actor Pat Finn, Recognized For Parts in The Middle and Friends, Has Died at 60 Years Old.
US entertainer Pat Finn, who was seen in iconic TV shows like "Friends", "Seinfeld" and "The Middle", has succumbed at 60 years old.
The comedy and improvisation performer succumbed at his home in LA on Monday having undergone cancer treatment since 2022, as reported by media reports.
"Pat considered no one a stranger - just potential friends he had yet to meet," his family shared in a statement.
They noted that he had "embraced life completely - with joy and exuberance".
A Notable Television Career
His debut TV appearance was on a show starring George Wendt in the mid-90s, where he portrayed the lead character's sibling.
He subsequently landed a repeating character on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.
He played the part of a party host named Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a party host who would assign unpleasant chores to his guests.
During the 90s and 2000s, he had guest spots on a variety of hit series, including:
- The King of Queens
- Friends
- "That '70s Show"
- House, M.D.
Finn was perhaps best known for playing Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons between 2011 and 2018.
His work in movies are "It's Complicated" and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
Beyond the Screen
Away from his television work, Finn was a skilled improviser and worked as a teacher at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was a member of a six-person improv troupe called "Beer Shark Mice".
"Finn taught, supported, and inspired many learners during his career and you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone anywhere who has a bad thing to say about him," his family wrote.
Paying homage, colleague and actor Richard Kind said there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, making those around him better and funnier. An excellent dad and person," he shared on social media.
Pat Finn is remembered by his partner Donna, his children, and his family.
