The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Warriors Table

Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Spoilers for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the main group to begin their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team features Teor Pridesire (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Considering 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

Hence, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Planners, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the actions of the latest installment make it clear why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the team has a clear idea where to proceed after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The traitor then cleared his debts and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each character has a individual motive to exit the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
  • Kattigan knows the region and advises that it is a hostile location.
  • The strong character and The healer, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate the target and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their status as important members in House Halovar could enable the party access areas they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter vowed a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now go with him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are hunted by the powers that control the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and Wicander defied the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the clan.

This means them few options but to head to the remote area in search of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

From episode three’s post-show segment, we discover that the combat party won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Explorers and Schemers parties.

Audiences can anticipate discovering which characters will be in which group in the story’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on next week.
